I first started throwing pots at a studio in Chipstead in Kent, I attended classes for about 10 years, until my work life and other interests took over.

After moving to Eastbourne I thought I'd like to pick up my pottery again as a way of relaxing from the commute into London, unfortunately I couldn't find anything suitable. Enter Eastbourne Studio Pottery ... my wife found an advert. A group of keen local ceramicists had decided to fill a gap by opening a studio. I think I was one of the first students - that was over two years ago! I attend the Wednesday evening project development classes with a great group of people, supported by Karen, her enthusiasm is infectious and truly makes the evening the perfect foil to hectic week. To increase my throwing time I hire the studio as an open access member on Saturday mornings - you know what they say...Practice makes perfect!
