About this class

We are very excited to welcome Louisa Taylor to the studio for this throwing masterclass where you will focus on the finer details of your functional ceramic work. How to create, lids, handles, spouts and galleys that fit well, enhance your design and function beautifully. This workshop is for potters who are already confident throwing cylinders and bowls. Louisa Taylor studied an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. She is based in Brighton where she produces her ceramic tableware range for shops, galleries and collectors in the UK and internationally. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton and a member of the Crafts Potters Association and Contemporary Applied Arts. Louisa is the author of a number of fantastic ceramics reference books including Ceramics Masterclass published by Thames and Hudson and The Ceramics Bible. £120 including all ceramic materials and firing, plus tea, coffee and biscuits all day

Cancelation Policy

We are not able to offer full refunds unless the class, workshop or taster session you have booked is cancelled 14 or more days before the session. If you need to cancel your class, workshop or taster session, please get in touch, we might be able to book you on an alternative date. If your booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the session we might be able to offer you a refund, less 25 % administration fee, if we can fill your space with another student. We are unable to offer alternative dates for the beginners classes if you miss a session as they follow a set structure.
