About this class
We are very excited to welcome Craft Potters Association selected member Jitka Palmer to the studio in March to lead a one day workshop sharing her practice of figurative painting on hand built vessels. We'll be working with slip, oxides and stains in a loose, expressive, narrative style, building layers of colour and detail. We will provide flat tiles to experiment with colour before we start working on larger pieces. You can either bring along your own leather hard vessel or we can provide a press moulded leather hard plate for you to decorate. Born in Prague, Jitka studied medicine and worked as an anatomist before moving to the UK in the 80's where she established her ceramics studio with the support of a Crafts Council setting up grant, Jitka has exhibited her work internationally.
Cancellation Policy
We are not able to offer full refunds unless the class, workshop or taster session you have booked is cancelled 14 or more days before the session. If you need to cancel your class, workshop or taster session, please get in touch, we might be able to book you on an alternative date. If your booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the session we might be able to offer you a refund, less 25 % administration fee, if we can fill your space with another student. We are unable to offer alternative dates for the beginners classes if you miss a session as they follow a set structure.
