Saturday pottery classes for kids
Alternate Saturdays from 3.00 to 5.00 for kids aged 8 to 15
About this class
Our regular Saturday afternoon kids classes run from 3.00 to 5.00 every alternate week, book each date that you would like to attend. In each class we set either a hand-building project or introduce throwing on the wheel. Depending on your child's previous experience of working with clay, we encourage self directed work, some of our regular students have built large sculptural pieces over several weeks, others like to focus on developing their skill on the wheel. If your child is only able to attend a single class, their work can be fired and clear glazed ready to collect four weeks after the class. Most of our students attend on a regular basis and will glaze their own work choosing from our fantastic range of colours. There is a small additional charge to cover firing and materials by weight of the work, currently £7.50 per kg. Parents/carers will be sent a consent form by email to complete and bring in to their child's first class.
Cancellation Policy
We are not able to offer full refunds unless the class, workshop or taster session you have booked is cancelled 14 or more days before the session. If you need to cancel your class, workshop or taster session, please get in touch, we might be able to book you on an alternative date. If your booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the session we might be able to offer you a refund, less 25 % administration fee, if we can fill your space with another student. We are unable to offer alternative dates for the beginners classes if you miss a session as they follow a set structure.
