Plaster: Mould making & sprigs

Practical: How to make a simple two-part mould replicating a small object you have selected. Use existing drop-out beaker moulds to understand the slip casting process and make a set of sprig moulds

Reduction firing with gas

Presentation: An offsite visit in the morning to see the results of a reduction firing in a gas kiln and explore the colours possible with ash glazes

Practical: Planning and design for self-directed project back at the studio after a shared lunch offsite
