I'm a director of the studio and run general ceramics classes for all abilities. After teaching art and ceramics in schools and further education colleges, I now split my time between focusing on my own art practice and sharing my love of ceramics at the studio. My early work reflected my African heritage exploring full, rounded forms which were burnished and smoke fired in response to traditional water pots.  A sense of place is an important consideration and current work includes an investigation into the demanding properties of porcelain and a colour palette that reflects the subtle hues of native flora and English landscapes. I am fascinated by glaze chemistry and lead on developing new glazes for the studio.
