We really enjoyed opening up the studio this summer to children aged 2 to 16 to share our love of making with clay. Mudlarks for the smallest potters aged 2 to 4 and 5 to 7, Earth Adventures for the 8 to 11 year olds and Clay Craft for the 12 to 16s. They came up with some wonderful creations and we have just about finished the mammoth clear-up operation after the throwing for 10 to 15 year olds - clay travels a long way when spinning at high speed!
Here are some of our Mudlarks making their wonderful landscapes with flat slabs and all the weird and wonderful shapes pulled from the extruding machine.
With children now back at school we'll be continuing our Mudlarks sessions for pre-school age children, the family workshops for all ages and a new after school clay club, all starting in October.
